The challenge of package tourism.
In package tourism, the customer relationship has always been episodic: book, go, come back. We worked with Alpitour to change that — building a program that recognizes the value of customers who travel every year and keeps them engaged long after they’ve returned home.
Building YouAndSun
We designed YouAndSun: a loyalty program built around the travel experience, structured to work for both the B2B trade network and the B2C consumer simultaneously. That dual logic allowed Alpitour to maximize the return on investment across both trade channels and the end customer.
The program ran on two racks.
Direct rewarding: Alpitour vouchers as the primary prize, keeping customers within the group’s ecosystem and raising the perceived value of every booking. And clustered contests activated throughout the year, designed to keep engagement alive in the long gaps between purchases — the critical window in a sector where holidays are booked once or twice a year.
The standout mechanic was Member Get Member. Satisfied customers became Brand Ambassadors, inviting contacts to join and receiving an immediate benefit they could pass on to a friend. Loyalty turned into advocacy. Advocacy turned into organic growth.
“Turning loyalty into advocacy, and advocacy into organic customer base growth.”

A relationship that outlasts the trip.
YouAndSun shifted the center of the Alpitour relationship from the booking to the bond. A customer who earns points, enters contests and brings friends into the program is no longer an occasional buyer — they become part of an ecosystem that recognizes them every time they choose to travel.
Holding reward mechanics, technology, communication and legal compliance together coherently — across a program that works for both trade and end consumer — requires one clear direction. That’s what lets a loyalty program generate lasting value.
